Crash reports, and what is in one

A report carries the error and its stack, the last few hundred lines of the run log, and the app and OS versions. Not the transcript, not your material, not screenshots, not the text of any window — those are logged as how long and how many, never as what.
Nothing is sent while the app is crashing: the report waits on the machine and goes on the next launch. Turning the switch off deletes anything still waiting.
