Signing in happens in your browser, not in the app

There is no password field in the MoPilot window, and that is deliberate. Sign in opens your system browser, you sign in on this site, and the browser hands the app a device token on the way back. The app never sees the password, and there is no code to retype.
That token is the only secret stored on the machine. On macOS it is written to a 0600 file inside the app data directory, kept at 0700, not the Keychain — the Keychain used to hold it and was dropped because it asked for the login password on every fresh install. It is never handed to the part of the app that draws the window.
Answers, translation and reading a screenshot all count against the account, which is why this is the first step rather than something you can put off.
