Sharing one account, and why it does not work well

The monthly AI query allowance belongs to the account, not to a machine. Every desktop and companion device signed in to the same account spends from the same allowance, so sharing an account also means sharing its query usage.

Sessions and material are per install, so nothing one person sets up appears on the other’s Mac. Sharing an account shares the bill and nothing else.
