The phone as a second screen
Your phone shows what the prompter shows, over your own Wi-Fi. Nothing is installed and no account is involved.
The desktop app serves a single page over the local network and your phone opens it in a browser. That is the whole mechanism: no app to install, no cloud round trip, nothing to sign into. It is for the call where the thing you need to read cannot be on the screen you are sharing.
Same Wi-Fi is not the security boundary — a network you share with a hotel lobby is not a trust boundary. Pairing is a thirty-two-character token compared in constant time, and the companion is off until you turn it on and never starts by itself.
- Any device with a browser, on the same network
- Off by default, and it never auto-starts
- A pairing token rather than an assumption about the network
Where it stops
- The phone shows; it does not control the call
- It does not work off your network, by design — there is no relay
