Out of the screen share
The window is excluded from screen capture by the operating system — not hidden, not moved, not minimised. On every plan, including the free one.
Share your whole desktop in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex or FaceTime and the window is not in the frame. This is an operating-system facility rather than a trick: the window is marked as excluded from capture, so it stays exactly where it is, fully readable to you, and absent from what the capture produces. It is also absent from screenshots and from recordings made the same way.
It is not a paid feature and never has been. The three plans differ in how long it listens and how often it answers, and in nothing else.
- Out of screen shares, screenshots and recordings that go through the same facility
- It does not move, dim or minimise — you keep reading it
- On the free plan too
Where it stops
Two things it is not. It is not a decision about whether an assistant is allowed on your call — that is a question about your employer, your client and the room, and no software can answer it for you. And it is a fact about what a capture contains, not about the physical world: it says nothing about a phone held up to your screen, or about somebody sitting beside you.
- It says nothing about a phone pointed at your screen, or somebody sitting beside you
- It does not decide whether using an assistant is permitted on your call
